Who doesn't love to have a plate of hot crispy samosas on a cold rainy day? Made by stuffing a pastry with minced mutton sauteed with onions, spices, herbs and then deep fried, the samosa is usually eaten as a snack, entree or appetizer. Quite easy to make at home especially when using readymade pastry sheets, the only tricky bit is folding it tightly enough to ensure the stuffing does fall out while frying. The origins of the samosa can be traced to the Middle East and Central Asia from where it then spread to Africa,Southeast Asia, South Asia, and elsewhere.
