Craving for some sweet? This dessert reminds us about Hyderabadi food, doesn't it? This

mouth watering delicacy is made of apricots, topped with thick cream.


Qubani ka Meetha/ Khubani ka meetha was a royal dessert in India for years because it wasn’t a native fruit, then. Only the royals were rich enough to import the fruit to make a dessert out of it. 

 

It is believed that Apricot entered our country when Alexander the Great wanted to import them to Europe. The Chinese fruit was imported into Central Asia through India, which is the only reason we are acquainted with it.


Babur, the founder of the 500-year long Mughal dynasty in India, loved this delicacy from his

native land of Ferghana, Uzbekistan. He pined for it when he started his conquest in India.


Ingredients for Khubani Ka Meetha are


 dried apricots(100g),

 soaked water of the apricots,

 sugar and

 almonds.


Recipe for Khubani Ka Meetha

Soak apricots in water for 2-3 hours, cook the apricots with soaked water and blend it slightly.

250ml of sweet(1cup).Let it cool and serve!
