This one is absolutely my favourite! Eaten with hot and crispy parottas/ phulkas/ naans. Super healthy as well as super filling for lunch or dinner.


Keema matar (pea and minced meat) is a dish from the Indian subcontinent associated with

the Mughals. Keema matar was popularly eaten in the courts of Mughal India. In royal families of the Indian subcontinent, the dish was served at special occasions and events like weddings and celebrations etc. In Mughal families it was included in weekly menu. The dish was named as Keema matar but now in common language it is spoken as Matar keema.


Ingredients of this dish are already specified in its name Matar (pea) and Keema (mince).

Meats used include ground goat meat lamb or beef.


All other ingredients include Indian spices and water with ghee/ olive oil.

Protein: 37g

Fats: 9g


Calories in Keema matar sabji

303 for 1 cup which is 100g of Keema matar. Keema gives good amount of protein also peas and potato are high in fibre.


Ingredients in Keema Matar Sabji:


 Peas- 30g

 Minced meat- 50g

 Tomato- 10g

 Potato- 30g

 Oil- 5g

 Onion- 5g

 Spices


Keema Matar Sabji Recipe:

 Fry onion in less oil, add ginger garlic paste then add keema and tomato to it

 Add spices stir and let it cook. Then add peas and diced potato, then pressure cook it.

 Serve hot with some coriander leaves.
