Hara Masala Chicken

A popular Indian chicken dish, Hara Masala Chicken or Green Masala Chicken as its name suggests is prepared using greens, in this case, coriander. To prepare this dish, first, create a paste by grinding together half a bunch of coriander, a couple of green chillies, cinnamon, cumin seeds and cloves. Then fry a couple of finely chopped onions, once soft add ginger garlic paste and then the chicken. Add the ground paste to the chicken along with some water and cook until tender. You can even add some ground tomatoes along with the coriander paste if you want more gravy. It can be served with both rice and roti. Coriander being high in iron, magnesium, manganese, Vitamin C and Vitamin K gives a unique boost to the nutritive value of this dish.
