Ragi, also known as finger millet is to me, the embodiment of ‘good things come in small packages’. The small grain barely half a millimeter in diameter is packed with calcium and even has a good quantity of iron. It is cheap and easy to find, and especially called the “Poor man’s grain” because even though it is cheap, it can give a good amount of energy and nutrients at a very cheap price. However, most kids hate ragi, because, I quote my niece- “It tastes like mud.”
So, I took it upon me to find a way kids and adults alike could enjoy ragi and I found this. Yippiieee!!! Now children may hate ragi, but they love cookies. So do all of us. Thus, I found my saviour- a chocolate ragi cookie.
A good, chocolaty cookie can make any day better. However, it can get even better when you can enjoy that perfect cookie, guilt-free. It has zero gluten and has a higher amount of fiber when compared to a regular cookie.
So let’s see how one of these large, chocolaty, almost heavenly cookies can be your dessert without making you feel guilty for chowing one serving down, by taking a look at its nutritive values & chocolate ragi recipe

The best part about the chocolate ragi recipe is that it is not only easy to make but can be made within 40 minutes. So prepare this on a weekend and keep your cookie jar full and you have a snack readied for the entire week.
Only one of these cookies is enough to fill you up because of the size as well the hearty nature of ragi itself. Also, ideally, the treat can be enjoyed with a cup of cold milk, making it a heavy snack in itself, stopping you from bingeing on them. This treat is also accepted by most tots because of its chocolaty flavor and the fact that you can barely taste the ‘muddy’ ragi in it.
So, indulge in some of this power packed goodness, sans the guilt about having gluten filled refined food.
Are you sure this is the original recipe, this does not contain chocolate. This is so ridiculous:/
