Beetroots are a root vegetable known for their sweet taste and their deep red colour with its ability to stain everything it touches. Beetroots can be consumed in the form of juices, salads, desserts and main course. Although it has high sugar content, it is low in calories and almost fat free. Since it is loaded with fiber it makes you full on lower calories. This makes it a nutritious option for those looking to keep their weight down. Beetroot provides a wide range of possible health benefits, such as reducing blood pressure, improving digestion, and lowering the risk of diabetes. Beetroots are especially high in folate, manganese, and copper. To make this dish, first, fry a couple of onions. Once the onions are soft add the ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, beetroot, green chillies, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Cook in a pressure cooker and simmer for 10 minutes after the whistle.
